new-flash

On Monday July 19th, weather permitting, the Connecticut Triumph Register goes on the road to Mark’s Drive-in in Granby, CT.

The plan is to assemble at Gio’s Pizza (3 Turkey Hill Road, East Granby) at 5:30pm and drive to Mark’s in a caravan at 5:45pm. If you arrive later, just head straight to Mark’s and look for the British car contingent.

The cruise is located on 25 acres of land in East Granby, Connecticut. This family friendly cruise is dedicated to perpetuating the memory of antique, classic and special interest vehicles.

Marks Classic Cruise is an OPEN cruise night; which means anyone is welcome to attend regardless of year, make, and model driven. The theme for the 19th is Corvette.

Vehicles must be clean. The cruise runs every Monday night (unless inclement weather or saturated field conditions.) from 5pm to 9pm between May and September (excluding holidays). Food vendors offer a menu of: burgers, chili, pizza, hot dogs, popcorn, soda, water, coffee, and desserts. Often times there are specials available too.

Mark’s Classic Cruise is adjacent to Bradley International Airport. From I-90, take exit 40 (CT route 20), turn onto East Street and take a right onto Russell Road. The website for Mark’s is at www.markscruisenight.com Check their website if the weather looks doubtful.

Bell City Diner Pic3CTR Club meetings are presently ‘ON HOLD” due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but they are  normally held at the Bell City Diner in Forestville (860-585-9393) on the third Monday of each month (except for December). The gathering usually starts with food and drink around 6:30 pm, followed by the business end of the meeting, and is usually over by 8:30 p.m.  To reach the Bell City Diner, take exit 33 off I84 (east or west). Follow route 72 west to the second light (approx. 2 miles).  Turn left onto Lincoln Street, then left again onto Pine Street. The Bell City Diner is on the right.

The CTR club tries to sponsor an event each month, such as trips to other club shows,  Auto-jumbles, trips to local wineries, drive-in cruises, etc. and our annual car show held each September at Wickham Park in Manchester, CT.  All of these events can be found by clicking on ‘CTR Events Calendar’ at the top of this page.
